Centre for DiasporaRegional Chamber of Commerce Novi Sad and the Ministry for Diaspora of the Republicsrbija_kuca_LAT of Serbia on 14 November 2007. signed a cooperation agreement, which established the Centre for Diaspora in the Chamber, in order to promote economic partnership between the homeland and the Diaspora and the Diaspora of information about economic cooperation with the region, as well as, cooperation at the national level.
The project "Creating a database of business entities established with capital from abroad" conducted by the Regional Chamber of Commerce Novi Sad, formed a comprehensive and updated database on companies in the region, which were set up with capital from abroad, in order to have more efficient communication and mutual exchange of necessary information, and to create conditions for investment in the Diaspora and other specific development projects, especially at the local level.
The aim of the project justifies its implementation. We are sure that this project and the final results, which will be derived from it, will be instrumental in implementing this important strand of the Ministry of Diaspora.
In accordance with the Agreement on Cooperation between the Regional Chamber of Commerce Novi Sad and the Ministry of Diaspora Council there was formed the Centre for Diaspora, in order to provide technical and organizational support, promotion of and assistance to members of the Chamber in developing and improving cooperation with the Diaspora. The task of the Council of the Center is to, by engaging all the municipalities in southern Backa Administrative District establish better communication between business entrepreneurs returning to the homeland and develop a database on the investment opportunities of the Diaspora in development, manufacturing and infrastructure projects at the local level.
At the constitutive session of the Centre held 07.oktobra 2009., regarding the consideration of the Draft Programme of the Center for Diaspora in 2010. year, it was agreed that the main directions of activities of the Center in the future should be: full and timely information on major Diaspora economic and systemic issues of interest to the Diaspora, creating a database of companies established by capital from abroad; removal of administrative barriers to faster and more efficient investment in the economy at the local level through closer cooperation of the authorities and the Office of the Diaspora in the municipalities where they exist.
